Ok, you guys... I am someone who hates the sound of my own voice, someone who hates drawing attention to her-self and definitely someone who struggles with writing.
As Linda Kosloff Turner extended me the invitation to be a co-host at her new podcast, I am so excited to meet and talk to all these wonderful designers- my focus is inspiration and process.
Inspiration can come from anywhere but as Picasso would say "it needs to find you working" the process of making jewelry is thousands of years old and quite honestly one I fell in love with, taking concepts and urning them into reality is very satisfying to me and each individual jeweler and designer has their own DNA when it comes to process and development.
As a designer myself my process for new collections always starts with research, all of my designers are sold at concept stage and its fun because my clients get to be involved through development being included on decisions and completely involved.
I CAD better than I draw and to me CAD is a second language, its's a communication tool I use on a daily basis - my poor computer is my most used tool, and I do have a 3D printer in my basement.
I had the privilege of growing up in England with access to the world's finest process masters- when I look at a Rembrandt - his sketches are what fascinates me, the development of an idea it's amazing what our brains are capable of, and I cannot wait to dive in deeper and learn from these wonderful women.
I am so excited to embark on this Journey with Linda..
